Edge of Stability

Antarctica 2026 8 Photographs

An endless expanse of white stretches in every direction. In this place, even the takeoff and landing of an aircraft can dissolve into uncertainty, as the boundary between sky and ground disappears, merging everything into a single field of white.

Yet what truly overwhelmed me was the view of Antarctica from above. The scale and mass I thought I had grasped on the ground revealed themselves to be only a fragment of this vast continent. Beneath me lay a landscape shaped by millions of years, yet still shifting, breathing, and alive.

Wind carves into ice and land, while light continuously transforms the scene. Unnamed mountain ranges emerge as suspended gestures between formation and collapse. Just as I approached the continent's highest peaks, a surge of frozen wind summoned clouds, and the mountains disappeared once again into white.

What appears eternal is, in fact, held within a delicate balance. The scattered sea ice, quietly glimmering across the water, speaks of both beauty and impermanence.

Precious Ground — Bangka Island View Project

Precious Ground

Bangka Island, Indonesia 2026– Ongoing

Precious Ground is an ongoing long-term project photographed on Bangka Island, Indonesia, exploring the relationship between people and the land they inhabit.

Across tin mining sites, coastal villages and waste settlements, the project follows the lives of miners, children playing by the water, and fathers working to support their families. Though their lives appear different, they are connected by the same island, its land, and the resources beneath it.

Set within a place where geological time, human labour and economic desire intersect, the project reflects on how people live, work and shape their lives in relation to the ground beneath their feet.

The project remains ongoing.  Additional chapters will be published as the work develops.

Fleeting Bonds View Project

Fleeting Bonds

Asia · Africa · Europe · Latin America Photographed over multiple years

Photographed over several years across Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America, Fleeting Bonds explores the quiet relationships that emerge between children and cats.

Free from shared language, these encounters are built through presence, curiosity and trust. A glance, a touch, a moment spent waiting together — small gestures become a way of understanding one another.

Made across different cultures and landscapes, the series reflects on connections that exist beyond words, borders and species.
